This module allows you full control of the speed of the fan in your PS3. It will allow you to adjust the speed from very slow to full speed regardless of the demand from the console.
This module may be the answer where a console has a fan that constantly spins at full speed even when cold, as it will allow you to force the fan to spin at a reasonable rate!
Be aware, though, that some faults cause the console to think it's overheating (when it's not!) and shut down accordingly. Fitting this module will not prevent the console from shutting down under this condition!
Like the other controllers in my range this module drives the fan with the correct PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) signal and so causes no extra strain on the fan. Simply fitting a potentiometer is not the correct way to control the speed and may cause premature failure of the fan!
This will work with both the original PS3 (fat) and the PS3 Slim.

This module ignores the fan control signal from the console, so even if the console demands more cooling than the controller is giving, the fan will REMAIN AT THE SPEED YOU HAVE SET IT TO! This means there is a risk that the console will overheat if you have not set the fan to spin fast enough.
In fitting this module, you are accepting full responsibility for any damage that may occur through overheating.
